Air Ambulance

The photos depict the ADAC Air Ambulance on Dornier 328-310ER aircraft that DOTEC refurbished for the operator.

Air Ambulance

DOTEC was responsible for the repatriation of aircraft from the US and also for the complete airframe modifications for the camera array and the infra-red night vision cameras in the FLIR.

In addition, we designed, installed and certified the new large Panorama Window on both sides of the five aircraft, which allow for better view outside the aircraft in search missions.

Border Control and Surveillance

The hyper-sensitive infra-red cameras can detect the head of a person up to half a meter under water and up to 300 metres away. Once the locator has discovered a person, it will lock that position independently from the direction of the flight of the aircraft.
Inside the aircraft, up to six work stations can be installed and the operators can take turns in the observation seats.
With full galley and lavatory systems installed, flight and observation crew can remain airborne for approx. 6 hours.

AOG Aircraft Support

Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) is one of the least liked key-words in the aviation industry. It is the expression for a technical emergency which renders the aircraft affected inoperational. In such cases, speedy fault diagnosis and solutions / remedies are of the essence, as the operator losses money and often also its reputation.

Inside the aircraft, up tSpares may need to be organised quickly and technicians despatched abroad, as often the aircraft is at another airport away from the home-base.o six work stations can be installed and the operators can take turns in the observation seats.
